Salary
The rates listed here are our base rates for constables, but due to policing being a 24-hour role, there are a number of shift allowances available.
Constables rostered to work on a 24-hour rotational roster are paid an annual allowance equivalent to 24 per cent of normal salary, in lieu of payments for shift work and penalties.
Constables rostered to work on a non-24 hour rotational roster are paid an annual allowance equivalent to 18 per cent of normal salary, in lieu of payments for shift work and penalties.
As an operational member you can also expect to be paid some overtime throughout the year as well.
