Tasmania Police is committed to developing police officers who have contemporary skills and knowledge, so they can best serve our community.
We have partnered with the University of Tasmania since 2010, integrating evidence-based learning into our police training, both at the recruit level and for serving officers.
Police recruits are required to complete 15 units of a 24-unit Degree in Bachelor of Social Science (Police Studies) while undergoing their Tasmania Police training.
Serving Tasmania Police officers also have access to further university education throughout their careers.
